As of early Thursday Hurricane Joaquin was a category 3 hurricane with wind speeds of 125mph.
According to NOAA’s NHC, Joaquin is expected to intensify to a category 4 storm in the near future. Note that much of the Bahama Islands are under Hurricane Warnings!
The full forecast from NOAA’s NHC, suggests a close call with the East Coast through early next week.
Take a look at all the different model solutions through next week. Interestingly, some hook Joaquin into the Mid-Atlantic Region, while others take it out to sea.
