This was the view from Washington University in St. Louis, MO where the first day of July looked once again a little gloomy.
Here are some of the all-time June rain records that fell this year including St. Louis, MO with more than 13″ of rain! Interestingly, the state of Illinois saw its wettest June on record and Peoria, IL had its second wettest June on record!
This is radar estimated rainfall over the past 30 days, which virtually ecompasses all of June. Note how much rain fell across parts of the Midwest/Ohio Valley; estimates suggests nearly 10″ or more!
According to NOAA’s HPC, the 5 day rainfall forecast suggests an additional 2″ to nearly 4″ or more possible over parts of the Tennessee Valley through the weekend.
