Smoky Sunrise
Folks across the Midwest woke up to an interesting glow earlier today thanks to wildfires across parts of Canada. Here’s a picture from the National Weather Service out of Aberdeen, SD

Vertical Smoke Analysis
This was the latest smoke analysis as of 7AM EDT from the National Weather Service. Note the thick plumes moving into the middle part of the country from the Canadian Prairie Provinces.
Canadian Fires
A wider view shows how widespread the smoke is from those Canadian wildfires. Heavy smoke can be found in red across much of the Canadian Prairie Provinces to parts of the Midwest.
