2019 GSA Summit Recap
Motivated & Inspired; my major feelings after attending the 2019 Green Sports Alliance Summit in Philadelphia. Praedictix was honored to be a GSA Summit media partner this year. We spoke science, sustainability and how evidence of climate change is showing up in weather disruption. Praedictix’s Meteorologists are forecasting 365 days a year, for clients coast-to-coast! Let’s just say, significant weather events are on our radar! These weather events are happening at a greater frequency than ever before. In turn, impacting all of our cities in different ways. It is our passion & responsibility to educate others on what we are witnessing in the current weather trends and what is to come. Thanks to GSA for providing that platform.
On a personal level, I did not anticipate how humbling it was to be apart of the Summit and the #greensports movement. It was beyond me! The knowledge, intelligence, creativity & innovation that was brought together for one common theme. Protecting our planet for the next generation. Every person I talked to, I was left with a takeaway! A takeaway about a new product, new service, research or solution. I was amazed at the insight & passion to keep charging forward with greater momentum.
Innovation
The 2019 Summit is just one small piece in this global puzzle, but the shared energy ignited last week will continue to ripple. Connecting the dots between industries, clients and brands…
Vincent Printing – EnhanceAir – is a specialty coating applied to outdoor advertising materials that purifies the air without impacting appearance. An EnhanceAir coated billboard in the market for one year has the capacity to reverse effects of 10 cars driving 10,000 miles per year.
Pocono Raceway – Solar panels power the entire facility! Extra energy is sent directly back to the grid to power area homes and businesses. Let’s not forget the sheep brought in to keep the grass around the panels down!
VistaTek’s Selfeco – Compostable plastic made from plants that returns nutrients to the soil. A quarter inch of compost adds 30 years of nutrients to the top soil!
human-I-T – 150,000 computers are disposed of every day in the U.S.! Human-I-T takes unwanted technology, fixes it, and provides it to those in need, free-of-charge.
We are going to figure this out…
For now, we can’t change the direction of the wind, but we can adjust our sails. Praedictix looks forward to continuing to communicate our message, the messages of our partners, old & new.
